Hi, I’m Alice Buck, the founder and proud owner of Buck Beauty.

My career began in 2015 at MAC Cosmetics, where I turned my love of make-up into a profession. Working with clients of different ages, skin tones and styles gave me invaluable experience, but what stayed with me most was how personal beauty treatments can be. Listening, understanding someone’s preferences and helping them feel confident mattered just as much as the application itself.

As much as I loved that work, I wanted to create something of my own: a luxurious home studio where clients could enjoy exceptional treatments in a private, peaceful setting and leave feeling restored. That vision became Buck Beauty in 2018.

Since then, I’ve spent eight years developing the beauty services we’re now known for, alongside over 11 years of professional make-up experience. Seeing the salon grow, receiving awards and welcoming familiar faces year after year has made me incredibly proud.

The time and care you deserve

When I started Buck Beauty, I wanted to offer the kind of appointment I felt was missing - particularly in nail care. Too many people had come to accept being hurried through a treatment, feeling uncomfortable or leaving disappointed. I believed there was room for a much more thoughtful, personal experience.

Here, you’re never just another person in the appointment diary. We take time to get to know you, understand what you like and tailor your treatment accordingly. There’s time to discuss a colour, refine a design or talk through any concerns without feeling that the next client is already waiting for your chair.

That care extends to every part of your visit: the products we choose, the preparation before application, the precision of the finished work and the thorough cleaning between appointments. Your comfort and the health of your natural nails matter alongside how they look, everything we do is with integrity.

A salon built on relationships

One of my favourite parts of running Buck Beauty is the people I’ve come to know along the way. Many clients have been with me since the very beginning, and with 90% returning, those lasting relationships are at the heart of the business.

Their loyalty and glowing reviews mean so much to me, as do the awards we’ve been honoured to receive. I’m proud of that recognition, but it’s the trust clients place in me, and knowing they look forward to coming back that makes this work so rewarding.

I continue to invest in my education and carefully select the products we use, because that trust deserves the same care at every appointment.

Buck Beauty Store grew from wanting to extend that care beyond the salon. I’ve designed a curated selection of personal care and home products to help you maintain your treatment results and bring a little luxury into everyday life. And the nail care doesn’t just end at the appointment with our Nourishing Cuticle Oils.
